David has continued to build an acclaimed career as a screen actor, with standout performances in major productions including Peaky Blinders (BBC One), Bulletproof (Sky Atlantic) and Hollyoaks (Channel 4).

But it was in 2025 that his reputation as a truly multidimensional creative force reached another level.

Selected from more than 10,000 international entrants, David became one of only six filmmakers worldwide to receive the prestigious NETFLIX Documentary Talent Fund Award — one of the industry’s most competitive and respected creative honours.

Working directly with NETFLIX, David went on to write, produce and star in the award-winning short film BAND — a raw, cinematic and deeply human story that immediately captured international attention.

The film received its world premiere in London’s Leicester Square as an Official Selection of the Raindance Film Festival, before continuing its global festival run across Academy Award and BAFTA-qualifying competitions worldwide.
